W HONG KONG not only attract travelers looking for adventure and style, they attract talent from across the globe. Our associates amplify our brand to guests by delivering what they need, when they need it!  Introducing our W ALL STARS !

With more than two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, Peter has it all covered here at the W Hong Kong. Having worked in some of the world’s most happening cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Singapore, he knows a thing or two about adapting to local cultures and looking after guests from around the globe. He’s even picked up a smattering of Cantonese and Mandarin along the way. An Australian, he believes passionately in encouraging the creativity and versatility of his staff and surprising and delighting guests. In his spare time, Peter can be found playing tennis or golf or spending time with his wife and daughter.

Chef Alain, our culinary director, is a gastronomic perfectionist with an all-encompassing passion for food first honed in his native France. Through a long and distinguished career, he has used his vision to combine flavors and ingredients from around the globe, and interpret them to create a unique style of cooking. Chef Alain has worked at a number of prestigious restaurants in his 25-year career, including I’Absinthe, Destinee and 718 in New York and the award-winning Barasti at Le Meridien Mina Seyahi in Dubai. His menu combines creativity and possibility. Try his inspired creations on the à la carte menu, at the celebrated buffets in KITCHEN, as well as on the afternoon tea set menus at WOOBAR.

Chef Raymond, our executive Chinese chef, has refined his skills and techniques in some of Hong Kong’s most highly regarded kitchens, including Lei Garden and Dragon Seal over more than 20 years. His menu features gastronomic highlights ranging from signature local specialties, delicate dim sum and pastries, to a sumptuous choice of seafood dishes, all of which originate from the Guangdong tradition of cooking. His signature dishes, which can be found in our Cantonese dining restaurant Sing Yin, include double boiled conch soup with black garlic, steamed crab claw and egg with Chinese wine, and poached mustard greens in fish soup.

No Music, No Life! This is the motto of Arun R, W Hong Kong’s  W Music Curator. We got the chance to ask him why is music so important to him? DJ Arun R believes that the word music translates to “art inspired by the muse”.  For him, music has always been a major part in his life and espeically in W Hong Kong, as it’s the music that brings such energy and vibe to the hotel experience, In a bar, restaurant, lounge or club, music plays an important sensory role: it can excite you, relax you, make you feel fuzzy and warm. It's simple – no music, no life, because without feeling, life is meaningless.
